The Teacher's Service Commission (TSC) have this Tuesday met with the leadership of KUPPET, KNUT and KUSNET at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi where they discussed a number of issues in the 2021/2026 CBA.
The Teacher's Service Commission gave out a very much lucrative counter offer to the the unions and they included a 4 months maternity leave to women after delivery and for men, a 21 day's leave for maternity with full pay.
Teachers who have adopted children will also be given 45 calendar days to adopt with the children.
The commision will also be giving a transfer allowance to teachers who are transfered and even a parternity leave will be granted.
There will also be considerations for couple's during transfer and there will be certain conditions that will be looked into before the transfer is initiated for both of them.
Those in ASAL areas will also be given allowancses and this will be in selected counties such like Baringo, Turkana etc and in Homabay, the Suba Constituency and Mbita constituency etc.
There are other several lucrative offers that the commision has proposed.
