What might Happen to tertiary institutions reopening if the government takes these measures.

When Corona virus emerged in the world, the operation of education system has been destructed. The rising corona virus infection cases, has led to partial and total lockdown in many counties in Kenya. This has affected both social and economic life. Most institutions in Kenya have incorporated online learning in their learning sytems.Education progress has been halted leading to change in the system of education calendar. The President,in his speech on 26th march 2021,gave a direction that all institutions be closed so as to reduce the rate of infection.

Since the positivity rate is reducing ,it implies that the measures put in place by the government, have helped to reduce the positivity rate. We have vaccines being administered to people and so far more than 800,000 people in the whole country have been vaccinated.

Universities and colleges may continue closed because students will be required to be vaccinated before going back to their respective institutions. This means that for every student to be vaccinated, it will require alot of resources.

The locked counties have to be reopened so as to allow movement of students in and out.
