Today, Saturday, 4th September 2021, K24 digital media remembers the late George Saitoti as a brilliant Professor of Mathematics and a long serving vice president of Kenya, on their official tweeter account at around 10:00 Am K24 digital media tweeted , '' A brilliant professor of mathematics and the longest-serving vice president of Kenya, Prof. George Saitoti...''George Saitoti was born on 3rd August 1945, he was a son to Zacharia Kiarie and Zipporah Gathoni who lived in Kajiado county, he died on Sunday 10th June 20122 in a tragic helicopter crash in Ngong forest and buried on 16th June in Kajiado north, during his burial ceremony 50 bulls were slaughtered as per Maasai traditions. George Saitoti went to Mangu high school and joined Brandel University after his high school studies, in 1972 he was a Mathematics lecturer at the University of Nairobi, By 1983 his academic career was on the rise as associate professor and Head of the Mathemaics Department. May his soul continue resting in peace.
