Hello and welcome back to my channel. Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has today requested that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) cancel the recruitment process.
According to Kenyans.co.ke, KUPPET Secretary General Akello Misori has asked TSC CEO Nancy Macharia to revoke the advertisement declaring 30,000 vacant slots.
He contended that the Commission should have prioritized promoting long-serving employees over hiring new employees.
Misori sent a direct message to TSC asking for clarification on why the category of grades C3 to C4 had not been slotted for the promotion in the advertisement.
"Going by what we can see in the advertisement is a lot of disappointment to the extent that there is a lot of anxiety. TSC seems to be very proud that they have advertised about 14,000 chances. Going by the stagnation of teachers, this is a drop in the ocean,” Misori stated according to the source.
