St. Francis Rang'ala Girls High School.
St. Francis Rang'ala girls secondary school is a public, extra county level, girls only boarding school located in Ugenya Constituency, Siaya County. It was founded in the year 1972 by a group of Christians called Church Missionary Society.
This school is currently headed by Mrs. Susan Anne Owino who is the principal. Rang'ala girls has been known countrywide for it's impressive academic performance since the inception of 8-4-4 curriculum. For instance, it emerged among the top performing schools in Siaya County in 202 KCSE examination when is recorded a mean score of 8.38 with students enrolment of 469.
Apart from it's wonderful academic performance, the school also boasts of best modern infrastructures which includes the following.
This is designed for reading and study purposes. Rang'ala girls has a modern library which is fitted with shelves and reading carrels. The library has both open shelves and closed shelves. Students are allowed to pick books on their own at the open shelves.
2. Class Rooms.
These are rooms where teachers executes his or her teaching activities. They are equipped with lockers, chairs and white boards to make teaching and learning process effective.
3. Playing Grounds.
Rang'ala girls offers a variety of co-curriculum activities such as soccer, tennis, hockey, volleyball, basketball, netball and athletics. It has the best pitches for conducting games and sports.
