Just four days after form four students were sent home for allegedly threatening to burn the school, a dormitory has been reported to be on fire at Maranda High School. The Boaz Owino complex that houses form one students was seen burning earlier today.

According to the Deputy County Commissioner of Bondo, Richard Karani, firefighters from Siaya county are already at the scene trying to put out the fire. Form four students at the school were sent home for threatening for burn the school because of what is allegedly thought to be 'refusing to sit for internal mock exams'
One of the teachers who spoke to a local radio station revealed that the threats were written on toilet walls, an issue that drew curiosity amongst the other students, with ten reporting the matter to the administration. The students were then sent home following a decision by the school's Board of Management that met at the institution on Wednesday morning.
