ODM party leader Raila Odinga today spoke about the competency based curriculum (CBC) for the first time. While in a political rally in Vihiga county, the former prime minister took his time to share his view on the new education system. A number of leaders were also present in the meeting.
Raila said that the curriculum promotes several aspects essential for a human being. He stated that the professors who sat down to come up with it meant good for the country. According to Raila the curriculum exploits critical thinking and solution solving techniques. These are good in the job market and the business world.
He further added that in every good process there must be some resistance. This means that new things must be suspicious to the eyes of the public. This is why most parents are worried about the children's future. He assured that it has been implemented in other countries and it has worked.
