Following the outbreak of covid-19, since last everything went astray including learning where all schools were closed. This was under government, where the president ordered all movements and gathering to be canceled.
Though exams were to be done he order that schools should be closed and the education calendar was disrupted. KCPE and KCSE candidates were unsure of when they would sit for their exams and some schools rolled out online classes to ensure they completed the syllabus in good time.since no one knew the time the education minister will reopen the school.
This time every student was busy reading through "zoom" online classes where, Embakasi East Babu Owino took it upon himself to aid students and offered Mathematics and Chemistry classes for free on his social media platforms. Those who were able to access online classes joined his platform.
It was a bit challenging at first,But the move attracted a lot of criticism, some accusing the legislator of trying to ‘sanitise’ his name but this did not deter him.He continued with his motive way of education needy students.
When the high number showed some interest, He decided to selected a few topics that he deemed examinable and glided through them with ease, well, this was expected as he holds a degree in Actuarial Science.which motivated several students those who admired his degree. By doing this he helped many students including the top student in the country.
