Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) and Kenya National Union of Teachers(KNUT) have asked President William Ruto to review some policies.
President Ruto who on his swearing day revealed that he will form a taskforce that will scrutinize the Competence Based Curriculum has today been asked to also review the teachers delocalization policies.
In a report by the standard, a section of teachers from KNUT and KUPPET are asking president Ruto to review the policies on delocalization of teachers by either making it optional or doing away with it completely.
Further a statement by the KUPPET Executive Secretary from Nandi County Paul Rotich, he has revealed that delocalised teachers waste time on Fridays and Mondays as they travel to to and from their homes to respective work places.
"Majority of teachers who are delocalised waste time on Fridays and Mondays travelling from their homes to their work stations," said Paul Rotich.
