Lamu Commissioner Irungu Macharia said security has been tightened at a time when Form Four and Grade Eight students are expected to take their national KCSE and KCPE exams. According to Macharia, schools located in the situ areas of Boni and the island areas have put in place strategies to transport the exams safely so that students can take their exams in due course.
Macharia has assured all stakeholders including teachers, parents, and even students that Lamu County is ready and that the containers that will store the exams are already in place.
