President Yoweri Museveni has caused a series of mixed reactions online after he re-appointed his sister Dr. Violet Kajubiri Froelich as the Deputy Chairperson of the Education Service Commission (ESC).
According to Ntv Uganda, her 3 years term ended on Wednesday, and her re-appointment gave her the 4th term as a member of the Commission.
Reportedly, she took the oath of office before principal Judge Flavian Zija of the High Court in Kampala.
Dr. Violet will be working under Janet Museveni who is currently Uganda's Minister Of Education.
ESC is a government agency in charge of the recruitment of teachers in Uganda.
This follows after Uganda teachers went on strike asking for a salary increase.
Her re-appointment has been met with extreme opposition as many bashed the President for alleged employing the members of his family to strategic government positions.Others claimed that he was running the country as a family property. What are your thoughts about this?
