Chesamisi High School Closed Indefinitely Following Students Unrest

Chesamisi Boys High School in Bungoma county has been closed indefinitely following a students riot over denial to watch football match.

Reports indicate that the school was closed yesterday after students allegedly went on rampage on Thursday night after being denied a chance to watch the Manchester United - Arsenal match.

Massive destruction of school and external property was realised as an unknown number of several other students broke out of school and allegedly broke several properties.

On his side, the school principal noted that the school administration is currently working hand in hand with the police to make sure they arrest all the culprits who he said were going to pay dearly for what they did to other students along with all the properties they destroyed.

This happening comes hardly a year after the same school was closed indefinitely in January after the students went on rampage over a shift of entertainment hours.
