The parents have been struggling to see that their students make it in life through schools. They have been giving out huge sums of money in schools as school fees at a time when the government is also paying the capitation fees for the students from both primary and secondary schools.
The form one mopup exercise that saw education CS Professor George Magoha walk does to door has been fruitful. Most of the counties have finally registered over 90% transition.Unfortunately, some thousands of the students have gone missing.
Today has seen Education CS Professor George Magoha receive a heartbreaking report as far as his efforts to see all the learners in schools are concerned. The CS has been seen walking in the streets while being rained on in the name of getting out the learners who have not reported to schools.
Unfortunately, the report about students dropping out of schools after being forced to report is heartbreaking to the hardworking CS.This can be a setback in his efforts to see all students stay in schools. The unfortunate thing is that majority of the parents have complained of the government taking their children to schools but fail to ensure that they complete their studies.Should the government take full responsibility for these students after the mopup exercise?.What do you think Education Ministry should do to curb these rampant cases of heartbreaking reports of students dropping out immediately after the mopup exercise?
