The Catholic Students from Bungoma, Kakamega and Kitale BUKAKI dioceses on Saturday 19 had their end semester party popularly known as 'bash'. They were keen in impressing their unique Luhya culture more particularly the kind of food they prepared. In the leadership of the group Chairman Mr Nyongesa Dan, he encouraged members to live their true lives they were raised back at home.
A typical Luhya will never count on a meal minus ugali. In plentiful, the main meal was ugali, supplemented with local foods like Irish potatoes, sour milk among others. Songs sang were purely Luhya and they never hesitated to shake their 'kamabeka' rhythmically. Excitingly, all prayers were also said in Luhya.
