The CS of Education, Ezekiel Machogu, has sent information to the heads of university schools about what they should do before May 9. Mr. Machogu, while addressing the public, reminded the heads of university schools to produce the amount each student is supposed to pay per semester of his or her degree course and the year they will take. With this, it will be helpful to parents because when they report, they will already know how much they are supposed to pay for all semesters.
Mr. Machogu's sentiment came after the head of the state house, President William Samoei Ruto, made up his mind to reject funding students at Private Universities.
Of which, he said only those who are in Public University schools are the ones who will get government benefits. This came after Members of Parliament raised complaints that Ksh 20 billion, which is distributed to public schools, is also sent to private university schools. The head of the state house said he won't overspend much money and will only channel the amount to Public University schools.
