CS Magoha Ordered Primary Schools To Build Classes For CBC Kids Joining Secondary.

In order to accommodate students transferring from Grade 6 to Junior Secondary School in January 2023, Education Cabinet Secretary prof. George Magoha has ordered private schools to build new classrooms.

The S explained why the Ministry of Education had changed its position on the much anticipated transfer during the annual private School conference held in Mombasa.

"We have stated that junior secondary schools must be held in secondary schools, but we have now walked back because of the circumstances in the private sector," declared prof. Magoha.

According to the S, the strategy is a win-win situation even as January approaches.

CSC Magoha reassured Kenyans that the Ministry of Education is ready to ensure that all 1.28 million Grade 6 pupils successfully transition to the next level with little to no difficulty.

He also requested that school administrations make the necessary adjustments to comply with B standards in order to put on notice ministry officials who register private school owners in exchange for bribery.

Magoha ordered the officials to inspect private schools as well to make sure they adhere to the necessary standards.
