All students closed schools from mid last month for a seven week holiday. This was to give way for those who were to sit for their National exams both for primary and secondary schools who are only remaining with one week to complete their final exams.
Due to rising number of covid 19cases, many citizens have been worried on whether the education calendar will be affected again since students stayed at home for long last year. But the ministry of education had promised that it will work closely with health ministry as they observe the positivity curve.
Today, the Cabinet Secretary for education professor George Magoha delivered good news to parents and also to students during monitoring of KCSE examination exercise. According to Magoha, he promised that the schools will reopen as scheduled and the ministry has no plans of interfering with the school calendar. This will be a big relief and good news as well to parents as many were wondering on how long the students are going to stay at home again this year. From this information, it means that parents need not to worry anymore but to continue preparing their children for next term.
