How Samia Suluhu Managed To Join University Despite Not Perfoming Well In High School, Inspiring

Tanzania's sixth president Samia Suluhu was born in 1960 January 27 in the sultanate of Zanzibar.

Her father was a teacher while her mother was a house wife.

Education background

According to SBS News , Ms Suluhu graduated from high school in 1977 but has said publicly that her finishing results were poor and she had to take a clerkship job in a gorvenment office at age 17 .

This happened as others went on to Pursue their further studies. While working as a clerk at the ministry of planning and develoment,she pursued a number of short term courses on a part time basies.

In 1986, she graduated from the institute of development management ( presently mzumbe University) with an advanced diploma in public administration.

After graduating, Samia was Employed on a project funded by the world food program. Between 1992-1994 she attended university of Manchester where she graduated with a diploma in economics.

In 2015 she obtained her msc in community development via a joint program between the open university of Tanzania and southern new Hampshire university.

Madam president's humble beginning on matters Education is a lesson to many students who score grades that can't guarantee them direct entry to university.

The fact that one didn't score a C+ which is the minimum entry requirement for one to gain university admission doesn't mean that he or she will never get a degree and achieve his ambitions.

Having become the first female president in east Africa, she is an inspiration to many a girl Child and even young men that have dreams.
