The Kenya certificate of primary education and that of secondary education exams were not done last year as a result of schools closure brought about by the emergence of the still existing Covid-19 disease in the country. It was necessary to shut down all learning institutions in the country to safeguard the lives of millions of personnel involved in education process.
Schools reopened this year despite the fact that the disease is still in the world and its manifesting itself in waves and currently in fourth wave. Priority was given to national exams and both levels of examinations were done and results released.
The Kenya universities and colleges central placement service (kuccps) opened its portal for application where some of the students missed placements and this prompted the service to open the second revision window to help those who missed reapply.
According to statistics gathered from previous years, majority of students apply for education courses because they are assured of a job after successful completion of their degree thus we expect also this year for the trend to continue and majority of the students to be placed to education courses since their cluster points are managable by many of the students and it is more marketable.
