FORMER CS George Magoha joins Maseno University as Professor of Surgery at its School of Medicine, director of PR Dr Owen McOnyango confirms.
Prof George Magoha is a highly experienced urologist. His profile will add greater value to Maseno University School of Medicine. One of the very successful Education Cabinet Secretaries, Magoha is equally remembered for his contribution for the implementation of the CBC.
George Albert Omore Magoha (born circa 1952), is a Kenyan consultant surgeon, academic administrator and technocrat, who serves as the Cabinet Secretary of Education in the Cabinet of Kenya, effective 26 March 2019
He has previously served as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi from 2005 until 2015. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Nairobi's College of Health Sciences. He concurrently serves as a Consultant Urologist at Kenyatta National Hospital, the teaching hospital of the university.
Prof George Magoha going back to class isn't something that should trend. He's basically going back to where he was. I think that his main focus would majorly be to teach, super, examine & train postgraduate students taking mastKenyaners and doctorate degrees in medicine
