It is sad news to President William Ruto as both teachers and students join hands to Oppose his earlier orders on education funding. President William Ruto has received a morning shocker after his plan to make changes on the education fundings was met with a lot of resistance.
The President had earlier said that only students from poor background would sponsored fully by the HELB of rather government, something that the students, parents and other education stakeholders didn't receive well.

Students led by the university of Nairobi Students Association Chairperson Melvin Thogo said that the plan will not be a solution to the funding cridisin Universities. University Students also said that this would lead to mismanagement of these funds.
Normally all students who finished their KCSE examination and managed to attain a mean grade of C+ (plus) and above was legible for the government sponsorship regardless of the background or ethnicity.
Students want this to be the norm of funding and not otherwise.
