MOE Makes a Critical Announcement on Thursday, Parents Asked To Prepare For These Before Next Week

The ministry of education has issued a crucial announcement on Thursday ahead of reopening of schools. While speaking during the official launch of the Elimu Scholarships that's expected to cater for nine thousand 2020 KCPE students, the cabinet secretary of education, Professor George Magoha has confirmed that schools will reopen on July 26th, 2021 (Next Week).

He (Magoha) has sent good news to parents concerning the 2021/2022 fees for all schools in Kenya including National Schools and Extra-County Schools. The total fees has been slashed by eight thousand five hundred (Kshs 8,500) for National Schools and five thousand five hundred (Kshs 5,500) for both Extra-County and County schools.

With that, National school students will have to pay Kshs 45,054 whereas the students in County and Extra-County schools will pay a total of Kshs 39, 554 in the upcoming academic year.

Despite of the huge relief to parents, the ministry of education through PS Julius Jwan has told parents to prepare for the remaining school fees before next week so that when schools reopen, the school operations will smoothly run.
