Reasons why six of the 282 interdicted teachers succumbed

Nationally, it has become a norm that Kenyan teachers lamenting and crying about the stricter mechanisms and policies that have been over time imposed to them with their employer Teachers Service Commission (TSC) without their knowledge. The most recent of all has been creation of policies that are deemed to be retogresive and borgous in nature as they make teachers strain more.

The introduction of new CPG scheme for instance, was never easy at all. The union being led by knut opposed it. This was something that saw Willison Sossion being struck off the system.

Currently teachers are handcuffed not knowing what to exactly do. This is after the introduction of the new TPD systems that have not yet been warmly welcomed by teachers. It's deemed diabolical in nature as it's straining and costly.

The most aching part to teachers is that, this idea was brought withouttheir consent from the employer yet it's si demanding I terms of money and time this heaping blames on the union for entering into such agreements without their consent.

The current Knut Secretary General Mr Collins Oyuu, has expressed his deep resentments following the actions taken that saw 282 instructors succumbing due to abrupt interdiction from the commission.

He points out that their death was as a result of the new CBC curriculum and reiterates that such action and deed will never be forgotten since they touch the grassroot of teachers in the whole country.
