The residents of Githunguri Sub County in Kiambu today work up to weird scene after a 17 year old boy was beaten to death in a girls school for having sneaked in the school without the concern of anyone.
The Form Four boy was beaten to death at Komothai Girls Secondary School in Kiambu County after he led a group of other five male students into the institution.
According to the report that was filed by the police at Kibichoi Police Station, the incident is said to have occurred at 4:00am today October 21.
The deceased was reported to have led five other male students from Gathiruini Boys High School and sneaked into the neighbouring girl’s institution.
“They had escaped from their school and trespassed into ours. Some people sighted them at Phoebe House, the dormitory for girls,” a security guard said while at the police station.
The security added that the targeted girls screamed and attracted the attention of the security guards, teacher on duty, as well as the headteacher.
The moment these boys realized that their presence has been known, they all ran for safety but the deceased could not manage.
The five other boys escaped uninjured and left their Form Four colleague and leader at the mercy of the agitated mob.
“The teenager was beaten by the students and staff including the principal and sustained physical injuries on the head and forehead. He was rushed to Kigumo Level IV Hospital in an unconscious state but died while receiving treatment,” police report excerpt read.
The body was ferried to Kigumo mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death. Meanwhile, the principal and some staff members has been put behind bars as investigations continues on the matter.
