It seems like there is a lot of drama in the recruitment of teachers since the head of state directed the teachers service commission (tsc) to employ thirty five thousand teachers to help solve the gap of teacher shortage in the country. There is a lot of uncertainity that sorround the whole process. The teachers service commission should come out clearly and explain to the teachers what is happening with the recruitment exercise. Teachers are in the darkness. Report have it that the TSC had made an announcement saying that the commission is going to promote about 14,000 teachers into various leadership positions along side 35,500 teachers as it was directed by the head of state.

According to the latest report, a section of education stakeholder now want the commission to cancel the recruitment exercise stating that there is a lot of anxiety in the whole process. While he was Speaking to the media on Saturday, December 24, at Kendu Bay, KUPPET Secretary General Akello Misori called on TSC CEO Nancy Macharia to revoke the advertisement that declared 30,000 slots vacant.“Going by what we can see in the advertisement is a lot of disappointment to the extent that there is a lot of anxiety,” he stated.Misori sent a direct message to TSC asking for clarification on why the category of grades C3 to C4 had not been slotted for the promotion in the advertisement.

The sentiments of KUPPET Secretary General Akello Misori came a day after the online application ended yesterday.
