Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru is overworking.She has today hired ECDE teachers in Kirinyaga county on permanent terms and effective immediately.
She has also announced salary increment for all ECDE teachers who are already employed and those employed today.According to Anne Waiguru ECDE teachers who have degrees will be earning 15k will now be earning 51k



Those who have diplomas will be earning 35k which has been increased from the initial payment of 13k and those who have certificates will be earning 24k from 12k that they were earning earlier.
Governor Waiguru said that the directive should start working should be effective immediately without buying time.The ECDE teachers were moved from the national government to the the county government after the 2010 was put into use.
It has been devolved and several counties employ them on a contract but Anne Waiguru has employed them on permanent terms that means they won't be required to renew contracts.
