It is just a day after the class eight and grade six candidates completed writing their Kenya certificate of secondary examination and the Kenya primary school examination assessment respectively.
Completing a national examination comes with joy to the parents and the candidates. However, the family of Esther Wambui was left with pain after their daughter was burnt and sustained serious injuries while in school just a few hours after completing her last paper.
It is said that after the evening meals the school head instructed the pupils to gather outside the school compound to light a bonfire and celebrate the completion of the examination.
It was during this celebration that she was pushed into the fire and got burnt.
Esther says that she learned of the sad ordeal when she went to the school to pick her up the following day.

She blames the school administration for not informing her only to learn about it when she went to school.
The fourteen years old is currently admitted at Nyahururu where she is receiving treatment.
