11,000 Job for Qualified Candidates, Government Announces

The ministry of Education through the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the 11,000 available jobs opportunities.

The Commission through its Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia said that they will employ 5,000 teacher permanently and hire more 6,000 on Internships.

She stated that the teachers will help the ministry of education prepare bits programs for the upcoming Junior Secondary students in the year 2023.

The TSC head further revealed that they target more students to join the subcount secondary schools and the majority of the recruited teachers will be directed there to assist the students.

"During the impending recruitment, we will put more emphasis on staffing subcounty secondary schools, which admit the bulk of learners," she stated.

Macharia said that the Treasury has allocated a total of ksh.2.5 billion to be used in the employment of teachers on permanent and pensionable basis, while ksh.1.2 will be used to hire more teachers on Internship basis.
