Varsity Entry Nightmare As The Ministry Announces Vetting Process For Those Who Scored C Plus And Above

The 2022 KCSE candidates performed slightly well compared to the 2021 class. A total of 173,345 candidates scored grade C+ and above, which was the set target for them to join universities. The rising number from the previous one which was around 145,000 students managing to join University, has alarmed the ministry over providing full government sponsorship to the 173,345 number of students.

Currently, the ministry is working on the placement activity as they look forward to placing students to higher learning institutions. Following what standard magazine has gazetted today, they have indicated that, "Tins of thousands may miss out on state funding on shock proposal that will see the current automatic allocation for everyone who meets the C+ entry cut off, replaced with a stringent vetting process as higher education talks concludes." As quoted. Therefore, this means that, the 173,345 candidates who scored grade C+ and above have to be vetted before being awarded full government sponsorship. What can you say about this.
