Don't postpone what you can do today or now.

Do you like postponing or delaying things and activities for another day or some other time?

Hey procrastinators! I'm here to tell you don't put off until tomorrow or some other time what you can do today or right now.

Postponing things unnecessarily, especially one's that require immediate attention is called procrastination.

There’s a saying that goes, procrastination is the thief of time. This saying denotes that procrastination causes people to waste a lot of their time doing unnecessary things, while they could use their time on more engaging activities or whatever they are supposed to do.

I’ll give you an example of procrastination as the thief of time. When a student postpones studying and instead spends hours watching movies, browsing social media and going out to have fun with friends, and ends up performing badly in his/her exams because he/she didn’t prioritize on studying for the exams is called procrastination.

People procrastinate because of lack of self-confidence, fear of failure, rewards that are far in the future and perfectionism.

To avoid procrastination, figure out what your goals are, implement plan(s) to monitor your progress, visualize your future self, focus on your goals instead of unachievable tasks, reward yourself for your accomplishments, no matter how title, and finally, avoid a perfectionist mindset- be who you are. It's never too late!
