A Kenya Primary Education Assessment (KPSEA) ongoing candidate at Kibumbu Primary School in Tharaka Nithi County was denied the opportunity to take a math test because she allegedly stole her KES 2000 from her teacher.
Principal Hellen Njeri Chabari claimed to allow the girl to take the exam only if the minor paid for her KES 2000 which was allegedly stolen at the end of the term.
Boda Boda operators found a crying girl at the school gate and begged the principal to allow the girl to take the exam, she promised to find money and pay it by the next day.
She nevertheless insisted that the principal needed money before the girl could enter the examination room.
County Education Commissioner Bridget Wangbua intervenes to allow her to sit for her second paper after a little girl was found crying frantically in a nearby bush. We await the verdict of knec in response to the issue.
