Teachers service Commission has warned about the looking teacher shortage crisis in the country. According to the Commission, several teachers are set to exit the teaching service.
Alot of them have shown interest to leave and join politics. The rule which prevents all teachers to engage in politics is making them to exit the system.
Some teachers are opting to get out of the profession due to what they term unfavorable working conditions. The commission has been introducing alot In the profession. Latest was the tpd modules. Teachers feel oppressed in the system and are ready to quit anytime.
Daily Nation reports that the Commission has now requested the government to offer more cash for recruitment to avoid a crisis which is projected to start as from February next year. They are requesting teachers to maintain the professional ND be assured of good times ahead.
