The foremost presidential contenders deputy president William Ruto and the azimio chief Raila Odinga decided to pick their running mates from the vote-rich mount Kenya region in strategic moves to woo the voters.
The duo now seem to be shifting their hunt for votes to another section of society that is very Influential.
Teachers are found everywhere in the country and are opinion leaders in their own rights.
Yesterday, the azimio running mate Martha Karua met teachers representatives in kiambu whereby they promised to back Raila-karua presidential ticket in the upcoming general election.
On her side, the narc Kenya party leader promised to hire more teachers and improve their monthly perks should the azimio administration take over.
On the samef vein, the Kenya kwanza running mate Rigathi Gachagwa too promised teachers goodies in one of his rallies.
Gachagwa said the Kenya kwanza Government will pay for the teachers TPD modules instead of them being forced to pay from their Pockets.
Secondly, Gachagwa Promised that the administration will hire 116000 teachers to address the shortage.
And lastly he said they will stop the oppressive policy on teachers delocalization that he said breaks families.
