Universities are the highest level of education in Kenya. Unlike the primary or maybe secondary schools, university students have freedom to do whatever they wish to do hence that is why not all students in university pass due to the freedom.
Egerton university main campus is situated at Njoro, Nakuru county on an expansive land which was owned by Lord Egerton in the colonial period. Egerton is among the top five university in Kenya and probably the oldest institution of higher learning in Kenya.
Egerton university is today celebrating its 43rd graduation ceremony virtually because of the ongoing Covid-19 disease in the country. Tight measures have been put in place to ensure social distance is achieved at the university.
Education cabinet secretary professor George Magoha is attending the graduation ceremony at the university's graduation square, he has not yet given his address and with time updates will trickle in.
