The Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) is a new education system that has been introduced by the ministry of education that is headed by Prof. George Magoha who is the cabinet secretary of education. The new education system which is 2:6:6:3 will be able to replace the 8:4:4 system that has been in the existence for more than three decades.
The private schools stakeholders in the republic of Kenya have today announced that they are fully supporting the new education system that has been introduced by the ministry of education.
Addressing the press at Marishaw school Mr. Julius Wanyaga who is the director of the school welcomed the government move of introducing the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). Mr Peter Kimanzi who is a parent has also supported the government move of introducing the new education system.
In conclusion, this comes after there has been mixed reactions from the Kenyans as some are supporting the CBC while some have greatly opposed the move.
