17 Year Old Student Now Living In The Street With His Ailing Mom After Being Kicked Out Of Hospital

Just came across the most unfortunate situation, a young man walked upto Chebet and her sister ain Hurlingham. He's 17 years old and is in Kisii High School but he is living on the street with his ailing mother after they were evicted from their home. They reportedly went and spoke to the mum.

Her name is Janet Moraa, says she used to work at Safaricom PLC. She's got a spinal injury and has bed sores and has maggots all over. She was at KNH_hospital but got kicked out due to lack of funds. Her son, Dante was in Thika Road Christian School & was No 26 in KCPE countrywide.

She badly needs any help she can get. If she can get a bed in any hospital and her son to go back to school.

Here's a photo Damte showed Chebet about a school visit from Kidero Evans. He's now living on this street with his mother, Janet.

May God bless Chebet for showing a genuine human face to the young learner and family. It is a fact this pandemic has done more harm to many Kenyans across social strata. This government must set up a fund scheme to address such extreme cases.

You've done well finding, highlighting their plight, with your good heart. And let's put our resources together to help her.

I wonder what needs to be done to lift up so many more similar cases, suffering in oblivion, away from the spotlight.
