At least 58 learners who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE at Tangulbei Primary in Tiaty, have denied their results in the just released KCPE results following changes made on their school name by the KNEC without their concern.
The learners were shocked that despite them doing well in their exams ,their results read Kasilangwa primary instead of their school name Tangulbei primary. The highest marks scored by the top student is 399 marks with 23of them scoring 300 and above. They had a mean grade of 281.
The school headteacher claimed that the parents are accusing him of changing the school name without their concern. He tried to explain to them that he was not aware. Changing of school name follow a procedure through an application to the sub county director.
Enock Koech ,Tiaty sub county education director claimed that he is aware of the case and they are writing to the KNEC to find the solution .
