The former second Governor for Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is renown controversial politician and businessman. He tried to vie for the Mombasa County gubernatorial seat during the recently concluded hotly contested 2022 general elections but was blocked by the courts terming him unfit to hold any public office. He has been close to president William Samoei Arap Ruto.
An angry Hon Mike Sonko has changed tune on president Ruto as he publicly rejects the latest proposal by president William Samoei Arap Ruto's government. According to his latest post, the vocal politician said that the idea of abolishing boarding primary schools is ill advised. He went ahead and said that for some children a boarding school is the best and safest place to be away from chaotic marriages, torture from step fathers/mothers, uncles and aunts. The government has indicated that all boarding primary schools will be abolished when schools reopen late January next year.
"HII MAMBO YA KU ABOLISH PRIMARY BOARDING SCHOOLS HAPANA. In my opinion I think the move is I'll advised. For some children a boarding school is the best and safest place to be away from chaotic marriages, torture from step fathers/mothers, uncles and aunts e.t.c."
