The sad story of a Bungoma girl who scored 401 marks in the 2020 KCPE examination that went viral on Wednesday has changed the girl's story for good.
Diana Nyokabi had back to repeat Class Eight even after performing well in her KCPE exam and emerging among top performers at the Bungoma D.E.B Primary School.
However, leaders came in and sorted out the girl's school fees demands.
Apart from getting school fees cleared by leaders, a medical doctor who was educated by well-wishers has offered to mentor the girl and make sure she succeeds in life.
Dr Bosire Wairumu has said she will be mentoring the girl for free. She said since she had the same problem during her schooling time, has offered to start giving back to society by educating and mentoring those in need of the white man's magic.
"My Personal Education History. Primary school- Fees paid by well-wishers. High School- Fees paid by PTA and BOG bursaries.
"Uni, Med Sch- Scholarship. Postgraduates- Supported myself because I could. It's my turn to educate the village," she said.
