Kenyans React After Government Announces School Re-opening Dates

The government is glad to announce that schools will open on Monday, August 15th, according to reports from Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha.

The government's choice to postpone the reopening day to provide time for the nationwide tallying of votes. He stated that the procedure appears to be taking a long time and must be finished first.

When school started on the 11th, one day after the elections, CS George Magoha warned that students might not risk showing up to class in an unfavorable political climate.

He did promise safety and a calm election to parents and students, though. In order to prevent politicians from abusing children, he also advised parents to provide for their needs. Ideally, everything will go smoothly.

Kenyans reacted in different ways:

Kenyans let us be patient till IEBC charman Wafula Chebukati releases the results, please preach the message of peace to all citizens.
