Following the President's speech on Friday that cancelled all Physical learning in all institutions, various Universities, Colleges and Institutes have so far came out and issued Communication to their students giving them the direction they should take with respect to the presidential order. Among these Institutions is Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology which issued its memo yesterday. However this memo is said to have left the University students confused.
In the Memo, released on 29th March, written by the University Registrar in charge of Academic affairs, online learning was to continue as before. However the students residing within the Institution premises were not told anything on whether to vacate the rooms or not.
Moreso, the Memo did not give further information about the 'exempted areas' addressed in the Memo. The memo itself did not have an exact date of which the issued orders shall take effect.
Immediately after the release of the memo, many comrades started raising complains about it most of them terming it as an ambiguous and unclear one. Most of them posted on their various Social media platforms asking the University to give more details about the memo. Up now, most of the students are still in confusion on whether to leave the for home or stay within the University.
