He was accompanied by several leaders from mount kenya region and from other parts of the republic of Kenya. The leaders include; Governor of Meru County kiraitu murungi, junet Mohamed, Cladys Wanga, Beatrice Elachi, peter Kenneth and other prominent leaders.
Raila had visited several places in kenya ahead of 2022 presidential campaign, where on 16th October 2021, he happens to visit Meru County. Raila was accorded a warm welcome to the county and he was promised to be voted in as the next president of Kenya.
Raila promised the students to change the Higher Education Loans Board money to be just a grand and every student will receive it without question.
He added that he will grand all the youths from the families below the poverty level 6,000 Kenyan shillings every month if they voted him as the president of the republic of Kenya.
The students promised to vote for him to be the next president of the republic of Kenya in the next general election.
