Why school reopening is a nightmare for parents and Learners

Schools will reopen as from next week as students resume for the second term of the acadamec year. The acadamic calendar has been a harsh one especially for learner's and parents.

The holidays have been extremely short as compared to the previous years .This has to be the case as the ministry is trying to compensate the time lost during the Corona period.

Payment of fees for parents is going to be a very big problem given that there were only two weeks to prepare for the term. The increasing cost of life does not help at all .Increase in fuel taxes has resulted to rise in transport fee.

The cost of ordinary school shopping is also a big problem to many parents at such times .Many schools require a certain amount of fees to be paid upon reporting to school.Since the national treasury is likely to delay in remmiting the funds to school accounts, the only source of finance will be parents .

The government needs to act first and pay school accounts before reopening and ease pressure which is mounting on parents.
