Important Message To All Teachers: TPAD Portal For Term Two Is Now Open For Activation

Registered teachers with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) have been activating and filling their performance by teaching standards on the Teacher Professional and Development Tool (TPAD) each term. This was a tool which was developed by the TSC as a means of monitoring teachers' performance in the teaching profession. According to the TSC, the Tool would help a teachers to improve on weak areas and thereby lead to improvement in the general teaching process.

The online TPAD tool is normally opened on the first week of the term and closes few days after closure of the term. When opened, teachers are supposed to activate their status for the term and indicate that they are on duty. Throughout the term, the teacher is expected to fill in development standards as indicated in the tool.

For the second term of 2021 which started on October, the TPAD tool has remained inactive until the end of the second week, something which has left many teachers wondering what is happening.

However as we speak, the TPAD tool is now active. TSC has finally sorted the problem which was in existence. The bigger challenge was that there was already a term two in the start of 2021 and that had left the tool inactive. However tsc has added a clause for this term in which teachers will be required to select 'Term Two (2021)'. After that, they select they are on duty and proceed as normally with other terms.

This is a wake up call for all teachers, if you get the message, inform another colleague for them not to be left behind in activating their portal since the term is really short.
