Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is the only Commission in Kenya that is mandated to recruit, transfer and promote teachers across the country.
The commission which is currently under the leadership of Dr. Nancy Macharia as the serving Chief Executive Officer has been working round the clock to ensure that teachers are serving in a more comfortable and welcoming environments.
With the new leadership in the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), Collins Oyuu, the new Secretary General who replaced the long serving Wilson Sossion has been working closely with the commission to see teachers being paid well.
Account to the latest reports, KNUT leadership under Oyuu is now scheduled to resume crucial talks on pay rise of the teachers' salary.
Oyuu together with his team will meet Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) stakeholders to deliberate on issues to do with teachers' salary pay rise.
This has been received as good news especially to classroom teachers who have for a long time complained over their pay.
