Following the completion of Tuesday 18/05/2021 by-elections in Bonchari Constituency, Juja Constituency and Rurii Ward in Nyandarua county, Deputy president, Dr. William Samoei Ruto has taken to Twitter to celebrate and congratulate members of the "Hustler Nation" who for being victorious.
"We thank GOD for Hustler nation VICTORY in Juja & Rurie and the AWESOME show in bonchari, " posted the DP.
He went on to congratulate all the "hustler" teams as he puts, for a sterling performance against all odds.
"HONGERA our competitors, let's keep it ISSUE BASED and PULL together. Sasa tupange uchumi na Big4," He concluded.
The by-election exercises did not come without a complain of malpractices in all the areas where elections were held. Earlier on, there were claims that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party agents were intimidated, harassed and arrested in Rurii Ward during the exercise.
The election results are not officially out yet but but provisional results show that UDA candidate, Francis Muraya, is in a comfortable lead and looks to be clinching the seat. In Bonchari constituency, ODM candidate, Pavel Oimeke, is leading too while in Juja constituency, PEP candidate, Koimburi, is also taking the lead. PEP party is associated with M.p Hon. Moses Kuria who is Gatundu South member of parliament and a close ally to the Deputy President.
