The ministry of Agriculture and livestock development is determined to enhance the country's food security by creating an enabling environment for agricultural development in order to improve productivity and output in the agricultural sector.
Hon Mithika Linturi held a consultative meeting with the National Farmers Federation (KENAFF) officials at Kilimo House as they continue with plans to improve the welfare of farmers across the country. The association which boasts of two million members in all the 47 countries will be key in plans to empower farmers in a bid to improve food production in the country.
He hosted Rockefeller Foundation Managing Director William Asiko and Mehrdad Ehsani who paid him a courtesy all. The foundation is keen to partner with the Government in areas of interest as they strive to end food insecurity in the country.
