Mama Rachael Ruto is the wife of President William Samoei Ruto and founder of Joyful Women Organisation in Kenya. Today, she recognised the winner of Ksh 130 million Earthshort Price for clean stoves. She is a young lady from Mukuru slams in Nairobi who founded stoves that uses processed biomass made of charcoal, wood and sugarcane bagasse. 
Taking to her twitter account, Rachael said that Charlot Magayi story is interesting having helped solve challenges of fuel in the informal settlement of Mukuru. She said that the Mukuru Clean Stoves by Charlot are easy to use, affordable and environmental friendly. 
Charlot came with the idea after her daughter suffered severe burns from a charcoal - burning stove.
