It's Not everyday when someone manages to be surprised or visited by an influential figure in Society. However, when it happens, the happiness is uncontrollable most of the time especially if the visitor lives up to the hype of his visit.
Hence, Machakos based business woman going by the name Elizabeth Mueni Maingi, was going on with her business on Sunday evening not knowing how well her day was going to end when Ruto's motorcade suddenly stopped next to her business.
The DP had attended a religious function in Machakos before stopping in order to buy fresh maize from the business woman.
Surprisingly, the woman only had four maize left, with the Deputy President wishing to buy five green maize from her.
The woman was however lucky on the day as someone helped her out with the additional maize before she offered the five of them to the Deputy President who humbly held them all with his hands.
Ruto has been campaigning using the hustler movement and it's bottom up approach which seeks to help small scale business enterprises and workers struggling to make ends meet.
Hence creation of more job opportunities for those who are at the bottom of the pyramid, as well as increase in taxation income.
