I know nearly 90% of Middle class Kenyans can't afford Millions to put up Mansions and Bungalows but have a dream to own even a simple House and a home.

I am still a hustling fellow just like many Kenyans.This is how I managed to own a 3 bedroom House and also build for my Mom a 4 bedroom one. These are the cardinal rules to follow;

1.Once you have decided to do it,don't doubt your capability.

2.Forgo luxury spending

3.You will not avail all materials at once,make them available little by little.

4.Use local fundis who can sometimes understand your financial crises.

5.Do not buy everything, some materials are free and so imply your own efforts to get them.i.e bricks,stones or timber. This one depends if you own them but if not you can buy from suppliers.

2.Cement 40_80bags

3.Steel- D8,10,12,R6 etc

4.DPC,Wall pass 2 Rolls

5.Stones

6.Timber 8*1,6*1 Binding wire,for slab and LINTEL

7.Nails diff categories

8.Water supplier or do it alone

9.Course aggregate 20_40 tones

10.Half of the labor for contructors

11.Feed the the workers well, they'll love your work.

Lastly rest after Doing it up to LINTEL.

Finishing will be stage managed. Just do bit by bit as your pocket allows for. It gives you time even to concentrate in other areas of economic growth.
